Please contact the Curriculum Department with questions about Plainwell’s curriculum, instructional programs, testing program, school improvement initiatives, accreditation, teacher induction, and compensatory services such as Title 1 and 31a.

Plainwell Community Schools provide all students with a core curriculum developed from the Michigan State Standards. This curriculum defines what students should know and be able to do in the disciplines of mathematics, science, social studies, and English language arts. We also provide a solid curriculum to all students in other critical areas such as music, the arts, physical education, health, technology, character education, and career and employability skills.

Annual Notice of the Right to Request a Personal Curriculum

The Personal Curriculum is a process to modify specific graduation credit requirements and/or content expectations based on the individual learning needs of a student. It is designed to serve students who want to accelerate or go beyond the MMC requirements or who need to individualize learning requirements. The parent or guardian of a student for whom a personal curriculum is sought, or the student (if age of majority) or an emancipated minor may request a personal curriculum. To request a Personal Curriculum, please contact Plainwell High School.
